About Us

Roaming Lines Studio makes analog training journals, planners, and log books for boulderers, sport climbers, and competition athletes.

First and foremost we are climbers, we've climbed all over the world — we love visiting local climbing gyms and of course we love to climb outside! We've belayed and judged for IFSC and USA Climbing Youth competitions, consulted with international-level athletes and coaches, and get to hang out with elite climbers who've taken part in developing some of the world's most iconic crags. These climbers and experiences shape every product and decision we make.

Roaming Lines Studio serves as the tangible outlet of an aerospace engineer (Jess) and a creative director and designer (Jenn) — partners in life and climbing who met at a climbing gym nearly a decade ago. We're both data geeks, always looking to track, streamline, and improve, especially in climbing.

How It Started

We got tired of logging workouts in notes apps and photographing whiteboards — nothing stuck in one place. So we designed training logs for ourselves, then refined them. We consulted with competitive youth coaches whose athletes needed something they'd actually use. The result: a small, considered collection of planners, journals, and log books built for how climbers actually train — whether you're logging your first 500 boulder problems, working towards your first outdoor project, or chasing hundredths of a second on the speed wall.
